Interesting read I came across this morning on the adoption of a Digital Euro. Wanted to hear some thoughts from fellow currency traders on this!
Central bank digital currency (CBDC) to me... is just the same as fiat, except lower transaction cost, and virtually no privacy.
Make of that what you will.
As the currency transactions will be on a ledger, it would make un-declared income a thing of the past.
In terms of how it will affect driving factors for currency trading, we will have to wait and see how it impacts business structure.
