Hi guys.
I've been trading on a demo account for a while now and have the funds to start a real account. The only problem is that the broker I'm using now (IG) only allows to open positions starting from $10000. So does anyone know a good regulated broker that is based in the EU. That also doesn't have rediculous spreads or rollover. That also supports small accounts and lets you choose your spread.
Hi Mika,
OANDA is a EU regulated broker that has a decent mobile / desktop platform, it main selling point is it let's you choose the exact units you'd like to buy/sell instead of fixed lot sizes which I think is great for smaller accounts. (See below picture for an example)
It let's you set near enough the exact amount you want to risk on a trade basically.
I've no doubt there will be cheaper brokers in terms of fees but from what I've read it's certainly not the most expensive either. Spreads are low and inline with what you'd expect for retail accounts (avg 1.5 pip spreads)
I have no affilation with them so this is a recommendation from experience, but check it out, make a demo and see what you think!
Hey Mika, from what I've seen IG should allow 1k vol positions also (micro lots) - just be careful taking recommendations from people as they may hold a conflict of interest if they have an affiliate agreement I usually use a directory like the following: https://55brokers.com/forex-broker-reviews/ (ignore the paid/ promoted brokers) and just compare, regulation, instruments and swap/ rollover fees. You can't negotiate rates until your broker knows you're a serious profitable trader with a large account size (above £100k at least) Hope that helps.
